HubSpot Guides: The Operator's Library
August 6, 2026
These are Hubjoy's operator's guides to HubSpot: the AI agents, data tools, and hubs we deploy in client portals every week. Each guide covers what the feature does, which tiers include it, what it costs in credits, and the setup order that protects your credit pool. No marketing gloss, just how it works when you run it.
AI agents and Agent Hub
HubSpot Prospecting Agent: The Operator's Guide
HubSpot's AI SDR. It researches the contacts you enroll, watches buying signals, and drafts outreach for your reps to approve. About one dollar per recommended lead, on every paid tier.
HubSpot Customer Service Agent (Breeze Customer Agent)
HubSpot's AI support rep. It answers customers on live chat, email, Messenger, and WhatsApp from your knowledge base, and hands the hard ones to your team. About fifty cents per resolved conversation, on Professional and Enterprise.
HubSpot Agent Hub: What It Is and How to Run It Well
One console for every HubSpot AI agent: what is running, what it delivered, and what it cost. In public beta as of July 2026, included with Professional and Enterprise.
HubSpot Agent CLI: The Operator's Guide
The command line tool that connects AI coding agents like Claude Code to your HubSpot account for repetitive, bulk, and scheduled work. Public beta, ships with every plan, uses no credits.
Data and intelligence
HubSpot Buyer Intent: The Operator's Guide
Breeze Intelligence signal tracking that spots companies acting like buyers: site visits, research across the web, company news, personnel changes. About 10 credits per tracked company, on every paid tier.
HubSpot Data Enrichment: Free, Powerful, Off by Default
Fills in and refreshes contact and company records from HubSpot's dataset, third-party providers, and public web data. Included with every paid tier since September 2025, consumes no credits, and it is off by default in most portals.
HubSpot Data Studio: The Operator’s Guide
Data Hub’s dataset builder: joins CRM and external data from Sheets, Snowflake, and Airtable, then pushes the result into segments, workflows, reports, and the CRM. Data Hub Professional and Enterprise, still in beta, and every activation except a report costs credits.
HubSpot Lead Scoring: The Operator’s Guide
Fit and engagement scores that rank contacts, companies, and deals. Marketing and Sales Hub Professional and Enterprise, no credits, and most of the advice ranking online is about limits that were removed in 2026.
Revenue and commerce
HubSpot Revenue Hub: The Operator's Guide
HubSpot's quote-to-cash system: quoting and CPQ, contracts, billing, and payments living on the same records as your CRM data. Launched June 2026 as the renamed and expanded Commerce Hub.
AI connectors
HubSpot Connector for Claude: The Operator's Guide
HubSpot's official integration for Anthropic's Claude, built on the MCP server. Claude reads your CRM, marketing, and engagement data, then creates and updates records with your approval. Every HubSpot plan, no extra cost.
HubSpot Connector for ChatGPT: The Operator's Guide
HubSpot's official integration for OpenAI's ChatGPT. Reads CRM, marketing, and service data in chat, and since February 2026 creates and updates core records too. Plans, security model, and setup.
HubSpot MCP Server: Connect Any AI Tool to Your CRM
HubSpot's official Model Context Protocol endpoint, the generic version behind both packaged connectors above. Connect Cursor, a custom agent, or any MCP-compatible client. Every HubSpot plan, no extra cost.
Recommended Builds
A different kind of guide: tier by tier, what each HubSpot plan really includes, what the bare-minimum setup looks like, and the first-month build we recommend.
HubSpot Marketing Hub Starter: The Recommended Build
What Starter includes and costs, the bare-minimum setup, what it will honestly not do, and the one-month build that makes a later Pro upgrade build-on-top instead of a rebuild.
Integrations
Tools we connect to HubSpot in real client portals: what each one does, what it costs, and how we run it.
FirstTouch and HubSpot: LinkedIn as a Tracked Sales Channel
The LinkedIn outreach layer for HubSpot: connection requests and messages from workflows and lists, human approval on every send, and every touch logged to the contact timeline. What it costs and how we run it.
Which guide should you start with?
If you run a sales team, start with the Prospecting Agent: at about a dollar per recommended lead, it has the friendliest math in the lineup. If your CRM records are thin, start with Data Enrichment: it is included with every paid tier and off by default, so most portals are leaving it unused. And if you have already switched on any AI agent, read the Agent Hub guide before the shared credit pool surprises you.
What is inside every guide?
Every guide follows the same skeleton, because the questions on a sales call are always the same. You get a plain answer to what the feature is, a fact box with the tier availability and the credit cost, how it actually works day to day, what it does for your business and who it is NOT for, the setup order we use in client portals, and the questions people actually ask, answered without hedging.
The facts have a rule: HubSpot's own knowledge base article for that specific product is the authority on tiers and pricing, not third-party blog posts and not another product's fine print. Where a feature is in beta, the guide says so, and it gets refreshed when the feature reaches general availability.
A quick primer on HubSpot Credits
Most of HubSpot's AI features bill through one currency: HubSpot Credits. You will see them referenced across these guides, so here is the short version. Credits are consumed when AI features complete work, and since 2026 the pricing for the flagship agents is outcome based: about 100 credits when the Prospecting Agent recommends a lead, about 50 credits when the Customer Service Agent actually resolves a conversation, about 10 credits per company you track with buyer intent.
Extra credits cost $10 per 1,000, or $9 per 1,000 on annual billing. Every paid portal also includes a monthly pool:
Starter - about 500 included credits per month
Enough to trial one agent seriously, not enough to run several.
Professional - about 3,000 included credits per month
Where most teams land. Covers a working agent plus intent tracking if you configure them deliberately.
Enterprise - about 5,000 included credits per month
Roomier, but the same discipline applies.
The catch that shows up in almost every guide on this page: the pool is SHARED across all Breeze and AI features, it does not roll over, and included amounts vary by contract. One over-eager feature can quietly drain the credits every other feature depends on. That is why our setup orders lean so hard on enrollment rules, exclusion lists, and a weekly look at usage.
Frequently asked questions
Are these official HubSpot docs?
No. These are independent operator's guides written by Hubjoy, a HubSpot Solutions Partner. The tier and pricing facts are verified against HubSpot's own knowledge base before publishing, and every page shows its publish and update dates. What HubSpot's docs will not tell you, and these will, is what to check before you turn something on and where teams get burned.
Which HubSpot AI agents do these guides cover?
The Prospecting Agent (the AI SDR) and the Customer Service Agent (the AI support rep), plus the two surfaces you run agents from: Agent Hub, the management console, and the Agent CLI for connecting coding agents like Claude Code. New agents get guides as HubSpot ships them.
Do I need a paid HubSpot plan for these features?
It varies by product, which is exactly why each guide leads with a fact box. Some ship with every plan including free (the Agent CLI, the Claude connector, parts of Revenue Hub). Most need a paid tier. A few are Professional and Enterprise only (Agent Hub, the Customer Service Agent). Check the guide for the specific product; never assume one product's tiers apply to another.
How current are these guides?
Every page carries a visible last-updated date. HubSpot ships constantly, so guides covering beta features get a refresh pass when the feature reaches general availability, and pricing facts get re-verified whenever HubSpot changes packaging.
Can Hubjoy set these features up for us?
Yes, that is the day job. Hubjoy is a HubSpot revenue operations partner: we implement, configure, and optimize these features in client portals, with the credit-protecting defaults described in each guide. The free HubSpot Review below is the easiest way to find out what your portal needs first.
