HubSpot Revenue and Billing, by Hubjoy

HubSpot Revenue Hub: The Operator's Guide

July 28, 2026

HubSpot Revenue Hub is the platform's quote-to-cash system: quoting and CPQ, contracts, billing, and payments living on the same records as your CRM data. It launched June 16, 2026 as the renamed and expanded Commerce Hub. Billing and payment tools run on every plan, including free; quoting requires Professional (from $85 per seat per month) or Enterprise (from $140).

AVAILABLE ON

Free tools at $0 for up to 2 users cover invoices, payment links, and payment collection. The full CPQ layer, quotes, approvals, and contracts, needs Revenue Hub Professional or Enterprise.

COST

Professional from $85 per seat per month, Enterprise from $140. Buying with Sales Hub drops those to $57 and $98 for new customers billed annually. Payment processing fees are separate.

BEFORE YOU START

A clean product library, a Revenue Hub seat for each person who creates quotes, and a payment rail: HubSpot Payments (US, UK, Canada businesses) or a connected Stripe account anywhere else.

What is HubSpot Revenue Hub?

It is the hub that takes over after the deal is won. Revenue Hub handles everything between "they said yes" and "the money landed": building the quote, getting it signed, turning it into a contract, generating invoices on schedule, collecting payment, and rolling all of it up into revenue reports.

HubSpot's own survey math explains why it exists: 76% of revenue leaders say they miss renewals because revenue data lives somewhere other than their customer records. Revenue Hub's answer is to keep quotes, contracts, invoices, and payments on the same objects as your contacts, companies, and deals, so sales, finance, and success work from one picture.

The record chain is the whole idea: a deal creates a quote, an accepted quote becomes a contract, the contract drives invoices, payments settle against them, and reporting reads it all. The contract is the source of truth; renewals, upgrades, and amendments tie back to it.

How does Revenue Hub work?

In practice it is four connected layers, and you can adopt them one at a time:

  1. Quoting (CPQ). Reps build quotes from the deal record, or ask Breeze Assistant to draft one from a chat prompt. Templates, approvals, tiered pricing, e-signature, and on Enterprise, quote rules that block discounts or product combos that should never ship.
  2. Contracts (beta). When a billing-enabled quote is accepted, HubSpot creates a contract record that holds committed revenue, renewal dates, and billing terms. Changes mid-term happen through change quotes with automatic proration.
  3. Billing and invoicing. Billing schedules generate invoices from contract terms, reminders chase them before and after due dates, and credit memos (beta) adjust balances. QuickBooks Online and Xero (beta) sync keeps the ledger current.
  4. Payments. Buyers pay from the quote, invoice, payment link, or a self-serve billing portal. Cards, ACH, SEPA, PADs, Apple Pay, Google Pay, 130+ currencies.

The AI layer sits across all four. Breeze Assistant drafts quotes and prioritizes overdue invoices by account risk and value. Customer Agent answers billing questions and lets buyers find and pay invoices without a rep. A Revenue Agent that chases overdue invoices on its own is in private beta. Professional and Enterprise also include the Breeze Prospecting Agent, which runs on the same HubSpot Credits pool.

What does Revenue Hub cost?

Three tiers, seat-priced. The numbers below are HubSpot's list prices as of July 2026:

Free - $0, up to 2 users

Invoices, payment links, and payment collection; product library up to 100 products.

Professional - From $85 per seat/month

Full CPQ: AI-generated quotes, templates, standard approvals, e-signature (25 per user/month), tiered pricing, automated sales tax, 3,000 HubSpot Credits.

Enterprise - From $140 per seat/month

Professional plus advanced approvals (up to 5 steps), quote rules for pricing and product guardrails, e-signature at 50 per user/month, 5,000 HubSpot Credits.

Two costs people miss. First, seats: only the people who create and edit quotes need a Revenue Hub seat, so a five-rep team does not mean five seats if two people own quoting. Second, processing fees: HubSpot Payments runs 2.9% per card transaction plus a 0.5% platform fee (ACH is 0.8% capped at $10, plus the platform fee); connecting your own Stripe account keeps your negotiated rates and adds a 0.75% platform fee. On real volume, that math decides the rail.

The included HubSpot Credits are shared with every Breeze and AI feature in the portal. Extra credits run $10 per 1,000, or $9 on annual billing. Bundle pricing with Sales Hub ($57 Professional, $98 Enterprise per seat) applies to new customers on annual terms and can change; check HubSpot's pricing page for current numbers.

What changed from Commerce Hub?

Everything Commerce Hub did still exists: invoices, subscriptions, payment links, payments. Revenue Hub kept it all and added the front half of the process. What is genuinely new:

  • Contracts (beta) as a first-class object. Accepted quotes create them automatically, and they become the billing source of truth.
  • AI quoting. Quotes drafted from chat prompts, price books (beta) per customer segment, custom coded quote modules.
  • A connected quote-to-billing flow (beta). Quote acceptance kicks off contract, billing schedule, and invoice generation with no manual handoff.
  • The quotes packaging moved. This is the change that catches teams. Creating quotes now requires Revenue Hub Professional or Enterprise plus a Revenue Hub seat. Accounts that used HubSpot's older quotes keep them as legacy quotes, but the current CPQ experience lives here, not in Sales Hub.

What does it do for your business?

If you sell on contracts and renewals, the value is one system of record. Sales sees what was actually sold, finance closes the month from the same numbers as the CRM, success sees renewal dates without asking anyone, and the renewal quote pre-fills from the contract including every mid-term change. Our take: this is the most consequential packaging change HubSpot has shipped this year, and teams running quote-to-cash across three disconnected tools should be planning a pilot now rather than reading about it next year.

Who it is NOT for, honestly:

  • Businesses that need native payments outside the US, UK, and Canada. Everyone else connects Stripe, and practitioners report EU e-invoicing mandates are not covered yet.
  • Teams with ERP-grade billing: usage metering at scale, multi-entity revenue recognition, complex tax jurisdictions. Revenue Hub reports revenue; it is not a revenue recognition engine.
  • Anyone who needs contracts to be bulletproof today. Contracts are beta, and line items on a contract are edited through change quotes, not directly on the record. If your invoicing cannot break, pilot alongside your current process first.

How Hubjoy implements Revenue Hub

This is the order we use in client portals. The principle: the record chain multiplies whatever you feed it, so get the sources right before you automate anything.

  1. Map the revenue process on paper first. Sales-led quote-to-cash, invoice-based billing, or self-serve payment links are three different builds. Pick the journey that matches how you actually charge customers before touching settings.
  2. Clean the product library. Line items flow from library to quote to contract to invoice, so a wrong price at the source is wrong everywhere. Set pricing models deliberately and keep one owner for the catalog.
  3. Buy the seats you need, not the seats the quote suggests. Only quote creators and editors need Revenue Hub seats. We audit who actually builds quotes before anyone signs an order form.
  4. Choose the payment rail on math, not defaults. Existing Stripe account with negotiated rates usually stays (0.75% platform fee); HubSpot Payments wins for simplicity if you are US, UK, or Canada based. Run the fee comparison on your real volume.
  5. Cut over in stages. Quoting first, since it is mature. Contracts and automated billing schedules are beta, so they run in parallel with your current invoicing until a full cycle has reconciled cleanly.
  6. Wire the accounting sync early. QuickBooks Online or Xero (beta) from day one, so finance never has a reason to keep a shadow spreadsheet.

The gotcha we watch for: with contract auto-creation on, an accepted quote silently creates a contract and a billing schedule. Teams that do not know this end up double-billing, once from HubSpot and once from the old invoicing tool. Decide who owns change quotes and turn off the old pipe before the new one goes live.

Frequently asked questions

What happened to HubSpot Commerce Hub?

Commerce Hub was renamed and expanded into Revenue Hub on June 16, 2026. Everything Commerce Hub did, invoices, subscriptions, payment links, and payments, is still there. What is new is the scope: AI-powered quoting, a contract object that becomes the billing source of truth, automated billing schedules, and renewal and change quotes.

How much does HubSpot Revenue Hub cost?

Free billing and payment tools are included at $0 for up to 2 users. Revenue Hub Professional starts at $85 per seat per month and Enterprise at $140. New customers buying with Sales Hub get Professional at $57 or Enterprise at $98 per seat per month billed annually. Professional includes 3,000 HubSpot Credits and Enterprise 5,000. Payment processing fees are separate.

Do quotes still come with Sales Hub?

No. Creating and sending quotes now requires Revenue Hub Professional or Enterprise, plus a Revenue Hub seat for each person who creates or edits them. Accounts that used HubSpot's older quotes keep access through legacy quotes, but the current CPQ experience with AI-generated quotes, approvals, and quote rules lives in Revenue Hub.

What is the difference between Sales Hub and Revenue Hub?

Sales Hub runs the selling: pipelines, deals, outreach, forecasting. Revenue Hub takes over once there is something to charge for: quotes, contracts, invoices, payments, and renewals. They are built to pair, which is why HubSpot discounts Revenue Hub when you buy both together.

Do I need to use all of Revenue Hub at once?

No, it is modular. Plenty of teams start with invoices and payment links on the free tools, add quoting when the sales team needs CPQ, and adopt contracts and automated billing later. Billing and payments work on every plan; quoting is what requires Professional or Enterprise.

Should I use HubSpot Payments or connect Stripe?

HubSpot Payments is available to businesses based in the United States, United Kingdom, and Canada, at 2.9% per card transaction plus a 0.5% platform fee. If you already have Stripe, you can keep your account and negotiated rates and pay a 0.75% platform fee instead. Outside the eligible countries, connecting Stripe is the answer.

Is Revenue Hub ready to run production billing?

The core is mature: quotes, invoices, subscriptions, and payments are shipping features. Several pieces were still in beta as of July 2026: contracts, price books, credit memos, the Xero integration, and the connected quote-to-billing flow. If your invoicing cannot break, run the beta pieces alongside your current process before cutting over.
