FirstTouch and HubSpot: LinkedIn as a Tracked Sales Channel

August 6, 2026

FirstTouch is a LinkedIn outreach platform built for HubSpot. Its HubSpot integration sends profile visits, connection requests, and messages from your workflows and lists, logs every touch to the contact timeline, and holds each message for human approval before it goes out. Pricing is $99 per seat per month with 500 credits included, as of August 2026. It works with every HubSpot tier, including the free CRM.

PRICE

$99 per seat per month, every seat with 500 credits for enrichment, contact discovery, and social engagement. Extra credits come in packs of 500 at 2 cents each. No tiers, no setup fees. Verified on FirstTouch's pricing page, August 2026.

WORKS WITH

Every HubSpot tier, including the free CRM. The native workflow actions need a Pro plan of Sales, Marketing, or Service Hub. Starter and free portals run FirstTouch through the Chrome extension and HubSpot lists instead.

WHAT IT ADDS

LinkedIn as a real channel in your portal: profile visits, connection requests, and messages triggered from HubSpot, paced safely, approved by a person, and logged on the contact record like any email or call.

What is FirstTouch?

FirstTouch, made by First Touch Inc, is a sales engagement platform with one job: make LinkedIn behave like a real revenue channel inside HubSpot. Email has sequences, logging, and attribution. Calls have tasks and outcomes. LinkedIn, for most teams, is a browser tab where activity happens and no record survives. FirstTouch closes that gap.

Let's be honest about the category first. LinkedIn automation tools have a bad name, and most of them earned it: scraped-together browser bots, spray-and-pray connection blasts, and restricted accounts for the reps who trusted them. FirstTouch made the opposite bet. Nothing happens without your rules attached: a human approves every message, ownership and territory routing decides whose account touches which prospect, sends are paced the way a person would send them, and every action lands in an audit trail on SOC 2 Type II infrastructure.

It also speaks agent. The FirstTouch MCP lets AI tools like Claude, ChatGPT, and Cursor discover prospects, monitor social signals, and queue outreach, with the same approval rules applied. If your team is building on HubSpot's AI connectors, this is the LinkedIn arm of that same idea.

What does the FirstTouch HubSpot integration actually do?

The integration is a one-click install from the HubSpot App Marketplace, authorized with OAuth from FirstTouch's team settings. Reps then connect their own LinkedIn profiles, which takes each person about two minutes. Once connected, four things start working:

Engagement sync - LinkedIn lands on the timeline

Connection requests sent, connections accepted, messages sent, and replies received are logged to the HubSpot contact timeline automatically. Each activity type has its own toggle.

Workflow actions - LinkedIn steps inside HubSpot workflows

HubSpot workflows can enroll contacts into FirstTouch flows, and custom workflow actions cover profile views and connection requests directly. This is the piece that needs a Pro-tier workflow builder.

Audience sync - HubSpot lists as the source of truth

FirstTouch audiences can pull straight from HubSpot contact lists, so segmentation stays where it belongs: in your CRM. Build the list in HubSpot, and the flow enrolls from it.

Field mapping and enrichment - data flows back

FirstTouch maps its contact and company fields to your HubSpot properties and can fill gaps like LinkedIn profile URLs from its enrichment credits. Some mapping rows are locked because they drive record matching.

Ownership rules - who is allowed to reach out

If a prospect is owned by a HubSpot user outside your FirstTouch team, you choose the behavior: reassign to an available team member, or do not reach out at all. This setting matters more than it looks, more on that below.

One reassuring detail: uninstalling the app stops all syncing but preserves the historical activity already logged on your contact timelines. Your CRM history is yours.

What can you actually do with FirstTouch and HubSpot?

The honest answer: run plays you already wish you could run, but with LinkedIn as a first-class step instead of a sticky note. The ones we see earn their keep:

Speed-to-lead, social edition

A form submit triggers more than the thank-you email: the owning rep's connection request queues up too, so the lead sees a face, not just an inbox.

A LinkedIn layer on your email nurture

Warm downloads get a profile visit, a connection request, and a message or two in parallel with the email sequence. Two channels, one system of record. This is the play we run ourselves.

The wake-up play

A deal goes quiet, and instead of a fourth "just checking in" email, the rep gets a queued social touch to approve. Different channel, different odds.

Engagement capture

People who like or comment on posts you monitor get captured as signals and routed to outreach. Social engagement pulls from the same credit pool, at 4 credits per engagement.

Post-sale touches

Renewal coming up, or an AE-to-CSM handoff? Prompt the right person to reconnect on LinkedIn before the QBR, not after the churn.

Who it is NOT for: teams whose buyers do not live on LinkedIn, and teams shopping for a zero-touch volume machine. The approval step is the product working as designed. If you want mass outreach with nobody reviewing anything, this is the wrong tool, and that plan usually ends with a restricted LinkedIn account anyway.

How Hubjoy runs FirstTouch

This is not a directory listing. We run FirstTouch in production on our own lead magnet funnels, wired into the same HubSpot portal we run our business on. Here is the setup we would build in yours:

  1. One system per channel. HubSpot keeps email and call tasks. FirstTouch does LinkedIn, and only LinkedIn. Putting email in both places is how you double-send and break attribution.
  2. Gate entry with enrichment. Our flows enroll from an active HubSpot list that requires a LinkedIn URL and a job title, filled by enrichment. A lead without a findable profile just stays in email nurture. LinkedIn should never be on the critical path.
  3. Pace it like a person. Profile visit about a day after the download, connection request around day three, sent blank. A same-second connection request after a form fill does not read as attentive, it reads as surveillance. Budget roughly 3.5 credits per enrolled lead in a setup like ours.
  4. Approve every message. The AI drafts, a human approves each message in the task queue before it sends. That approval queue is your quality bar and your account safety, keep it on.
  5. The gotcha: leave contact-owner updates off. If FirstTouch reassigns owners, HubSpot quietly re-routes the call tasks and sequences that key off ownership, mid-nurture. Unless FirstTouch is deliberately your routing authority, set ownership to do-not-update and keep routing in HubSpot.

Do you need FirstTouch, or can your team just do LinkedIn manually?

Manual works at low volume. If two reps send a handful of thoughtful connection requests a week, keep doing that. The problem is not effort, it is memory: manual LinkedIn activity leaves no record in your portal, so nobody knows who was touched, what was said, or whether any of it produced pipeline. It is a channel your reporting cannot see.

Against the standalone LinkedIn tools, the difference is architecture. Most of that category lives in its own app and syncs to your CRM through connectors that break quietly. FirstTouch executes from HubSpot itself: workflows trigger it, lists feed it, and the timeline records it. If HubSpot is your system of record, that is the version of this you want. If you do not run HubSpot, FirstTouch is simply not for you, and that is fine.

And it pairs cleanly with what HubSpot already ships: the prospecting agent works the email side while FirstTouch works LinkedIn, each logging to the same contact. That is what a multi-channel revenue system looks like on a real budget.

FirstTouch and HubSpot: questions we actually get

How much does FirstTouch cost?

$99 per seat per month, with 500 credits per seat included, as of August 2026. Credits are one shared pool covering enrichment, contact discovery, and social engagement. Extra credits come in packs of 500 at 2 cents per credit, and there are no tiers or setup fees. Above 25 seats, it is a sales conversation.

What HubSpot plan do I need for FirstTouch?

Any plan, including the free CRM. The one gate is the native workflow actions, which need a Pro-tier workflow builder in Sales, Marketing, or Service Hub. On Starter or free portals, FirstTouch runs through the Chrome extension and HubSpot lists, and we can confirm that works: we run it against a Starter portal ourselves.

Is FirstTouch safe for my reps' LinkedIn accounts?

Safer than most of the category, but here is the straight answer: LinkedIn's terms restrict all third-party automation, so no tool can promise zero risk. What FirstTouch does about it is the stuff that actually matters: it paces actions like a person, respects daily limits, puts a human approval in front of every message, runs on SOC 2 Type II infrastructure, and publishes a safety checklist. Their own first rule is worth repeating: disconnect any other LinkedIn automation tool before you start. Running two at once is how accounts get flagged.

What does FirstTouch log to the HubSpot contact timeline?

Connection requests sent, connections accepted, messages sent, and replies received, each with its own on-off toggle. Contact and company fields sync per your mapping. If you ever uninstall, the logged history stays on your timelines.

Can AI agents like Claude or ChatGPT use FirstTouch?

Yes. The FirstTouch MCP connects Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and other MCP clients so an agent can discover prospects, monitor engagement signals, and queue outreach, with your approval rules still applied to anything that sends. We operate it through Claude daily. If you are exploring HubSpot's Claude connector, this is the same pattern extended to LinkedIn.

How is FirstTouch different from HeyReach, Expandi, or other LinkedIn tools?

The short version: those tools run outside your CRM and sync back; FirstTouch runs from inside HubSpot. Triggers come from HubSpot workflows, audiences come from HubSpot lists, and every action is logged and attributed on the contact record natively. If HubSpot is your system of record, native execution beats a bolted-on sync. If it is not, pick a different tool.

Does FirstTouch replace HubSpot sequences or workflows?

No, and it should not. Keep email and call cadence in HubSpot, and let FirstTouch own the LinkedIn steps. One system per channel is the rule we run: it prevents double-sends, keeps task routing sane, and keeps attribution clean.
